The story continues but first a recap!
And then....
Thanks to Michael Kirkham for the idea!
Calamities! What will happen when Ziggy puts on the hat?
Will he transform, will the world end, will our hero's perception of reality be twisted beyond recognition...
Suggestions below please for the next exciting episode of The Perils of Archibald Toddle.
*A reminder that all chosen participants get a copy of the illustrations as a handmade book. Jolly good, carry on.

Ziggy places the hat upon his head, instantly transforming into a being of pure, radient, super-glam energy.
ReplyDeleteZiggy puts on the hat and transforms into an exact clone of archibald, only he still has the lightning bolt across his face. He walks with his spiders leaving archibald tied down.
ReplyDelete(Love the AdineKirnberg!)
ReplyDeleteZiggy adorns the infamous 'Rhyming Topper' only to mistakingly tilt it anticlockwise tuning him into Miss Piggy.
Hey Andy, nice font-spotting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great ideas so far guys.
Keep em coming everyone.
Diana Probst via Twitter:
ReplyDelete@jonathanburton The hat will grow spider legs and eat Ziggy, and the spiders will kidnap Archibald.
Archibald stands up, slicing himself into segments and retrieves his hat.
ReplyDeleteZiggy puts on the hat and in a flash, both men find themselves (Archibald still tied down) in Victorian London.
ReplyDeleteThe moment Ziggy puts on the hat bright green thorny roots grow and wind and creep out from underneath it, manifesting themselves into a beanstalk. At which point, Ziggy whisks the hat off his head and throws it back towards Archibald, and with a wink and smirk he and the spiders quickly ascend, leaving Archibald to his fate.
ReplyDeleteBut what Ziggy failed to realise was that Archibald was merely the tenant of his hat for its hollow cavity was the hiding place of his landlord, a bright blue octopus called The Honourable Mr Sticky Eye. And believe me, he was not best pleased at being shunted so rudely from his penthouse position!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the ideas folks! I've gone for Diana Probst's idea for this one. Please join in next time.....
